Chanel’s make-up creative director announced last week that he was going to leave the famous fashion house after five years of an (in my opinion) extremely successful cooperation. Philips created the looks that complemented Lagerfeld’s vision of design. He made us dream, and since make-up is much more affordable than the clothes, he actually even managed to let people like me get their tiny piece of that vision.
As you may know after reading my blog, I’m not thaaat much into make-up, limited editions, collections, etc. Only before a Chanel fashion show I’m waiting almost as excitedly for the make-up, as for the clothes. And the shows already have motivated me to quite some little beauty purchases.
Peter Philips left Chanel to be freer in his work. Let’s see, what he is going to create for us, next. And let’s see who is going to follow in his steps at Chanel.
